Usage

Each element name pronunciation can have five data items: ipa1, respell1, ipa2, respell2, note. To retrieve one, define |item=:

{{Infobox element/symbol-to-pronunciation|symbol=Mg|item=ipa1}} → /mæɡˈniːziəm/

For {{Infobox element}} (talk), the four items are retrieved and formatted in {{Infobox element/pronunciation}}.

Retrieving elementary item data

To retrieve a single item for an element:

{{Infobox element/symbol-to-pronunciation|symbol=Mg|item=ipa1}} → /mæɡˈniːziəm/

|item=: ipa1, respell1, ipa2, respell2, note (defaults to ipa1)

Same suffix-numbers make a pair: ipa1 equals respell1.

{{Infobox element/pronunciation}} retrieves all four items to format the result.
